This mag. -8 fireball event was recorded over Andalusia on 19 July 2018 at 5:28 local time (3:28 universal time). The event was produced by a meteoroid from Comet 169P/NEAT that hit the atmosphere at about 80000 km/h. The alpha-Capricornid fireball began at an altitude of around 95 km over the province of Granada, and ended at a height of about 43 km over the province of Almería. It was recorded from the meteor-observing stations operating in the framework of the SMART Project (University of Huelva) from the astronomical observatories of Calar Alto (Almería), La Sagra (Granada), La Hita (Toledo), Huelva and Sevilla.
