An huge Southern Taurid with a magnitude estimated at -11, near full moon magnitude, entered the Iberian Peninsula atmosphere last 5 th November. It was registered from Lisbon and Tomar PMN-Portuguese Meteor Network systems.
Unfortunately J. Madiedo’s system pointed to the West and Lisbon was obstructed from dense clouds.
Calculating its trajectory and velocity, Rui Gonçalves estimated a descending trajectory from 108 to 59 km with an initial velocity of 28 +/- 0.5 km/s, with is one of the STA characteristics.
