On June 6th, 2016, a very bright fireball travelling North, parallel and a few kilometers West of Mississippi river, was observed and even filmed by more than 430 persons who reported it on the IMO/AMS website. The meteoroid, which entered the atmosphere and passed above the small town of Hannibal, appeared in quite a bright sky, and lasted nearly 4 seconds before disappearing in a final burst.

It was caught by a video camera in Wentzville, North-West of O’Fallon, Missouri, by Tom Stolze. This video must be a good guess on what has been observed by many witnesses, as most of them lies along the Mississippi river, South-East from the path of the meteor.
